Shigeru Mahogany One to watch in the North

Having a well balanced stable is vital for sustainability and growth in this competitive industry. SHIGERU MAHOGANY made his way into the Jared Wehlow Racing set up late last year in need of a change of approach to turn the 7YO Northern Meteor gelding around. He had a good lay off and Jared and his team were able to work with a clean slate setting him up for a strong back end to the 2018-19 season.

He is really thriving and started off his campaign with a romp at Rockhampton in the BM65 (1050m). Ash Butler rated the gelding superbly and the challengers had no chance of winning when he kicked hard down the long Rocky straight. Results like these are a testament to the health of the stable and there looks to be plenty of scope for success in the future.
