The Stable has that Winning Feeling

Jared Wehlow Racing has kicked off the 2018-19 season in style with some great results coming from the stable. The final month of winter racing saw 4 winners from 17 runners which included 4 minor placings. BERAHT has been going through the grades with haste and brought up back to back victories as proved too good over the 1200m at Rockhampton. The Charge Forward gelding has really found his mark since making the move to North Queensland and more wins look likely as the speedster reaches his prime.

WORTHY HERO brought up win number 12 at his 50th start as he regained the form that has seen him become one of the hardest front runners to reel in as he kicks hard on the bend. The evergreen 7YO Kaphero gelding doesn’t look like slowing down and Jared will hope that he has is just as successful in the back end of his career.

BRAVE JEWEL has been another one of Jared’s stock that have been putting in strong efforts. The Unencumbered filly had been placed 5 times from 10 starts before being rewarded with the breakthrough win at Mackay. He travelled with the veteran Roger and it seemed to do the trick as she scored by a length under the urgings of  the experienced Ryan Wiggins. She took on the 3YO’s again next start and almost did it again before being nabbed on the post.

The month was finished off in style by the reliable ALOOF’S TURF held off the challengers at Callaghan Park. He has been outstanding since Jared purchased him from Victoria winning 4 races and amassing over $30,000 in prizemoney for connections. The staying events will be the target as this well bred Dalipour gelding matures and gets hardened to the longer trips.
